Other Charitable Giving
 
At our PCC meeting on July 16th 2002 the subject of the church’s annual tithing was discussed in keeping with previous years. Our income during 2001 amounted to £36,000. Our tithing for this year is therefore £3,600. It was agreed to allocate donations as follows:-

Church Missionary Society £488 www.cms-uk.org
Care In The Family £488 www.care-for-the-family.org.uk
SIM International (Our sponsored missionaries) £400 www.sim.org
Sponsored Children Abroad £360  
Money held in reserve to be allocated at a later date as necessary £400  
TOTAL CHARITABLE GIVING £3600  

St. Barnabas’ income is received from three main sources viz:-
a) The church congregation - the main bulk of our income in weekly/monthly giving (75.3%)
b) Rental fees from hiring of church hall - Main hirer is the St. Barnabas’ Pre-School Group (10.5%)
c) Repayment of Tax from the Inland Revenue - on behalf of Gift Aid (14.2%)
