Thank you for St. Barnabas Church and all that it has meant
For the vision of those gone before and their great commitment
Thank you for the last 60 years
For times of joy and times of tears
For the saints now at rest with you
Who through trials and tribulations saw the venture through
Thank you for the person who sold Bredbury Hall
Upon the understanding it was to be a church for all
Thank you for the Daisy Field
That had a harvest for You, to yield!
Thank you for the builders who erected the building here today
A shelter and refuge for Your church to praise and pray
Thank you for the people who have laboured here for You
Who have done their best to serve You, both priest and laymen
too
Thank you for the people You have brought through our front door
We pray that as the years go by, there will be many more
Help us to continue the work, so long ago begun
Send your Holy Spirit to live in everyone
Make us all encouragers and spreaders of Good News
Always ready to help - and listen to others views
Lord, fill us with your Spirit, so we will truly glow
And the people of Lower Bredbury will be sure to know
That St. Barnabas Church, now 60 years old!
Will be happy to welcome them into the fold
