Help for visitors with impaired mobility, hearing or sight

There is easy access into our church and most of our facilities are on one level. Our entrance is a double door with room to get a wheel-chair or zimmer-frame through and there are no steps to negotiate to get into the church.

Although there are steps up to our altar and chancel area, if you are attending a service of Holy Communion then the Minister will bring the Communion down to where you are seated. At some services we use a portable altar which can be moved into the body of the church.

Loop System

As far as possible, the church has been adapted to meet the needs of visitors who have a mobility, sight or hearing impairment.

For those who are deaf or hard of hearing we have a loop system. Simply set your hearing aid to T.

For those who are sight impaired we have large print Bibles, Hymn books and Communion Service booklets, often the words of the hymns are displayed on our overhead projector.

There are also a large range of audio cassettes in our library.

Our toilet facilities are wheelchair and zimmer-frame accessible and there are no steps to negotiate, so are easy to use for those with mobility problems.
