Prayer Ministry...

Prayer is at the heart of our ministry at St. Barnabas and as such we are in the process of expanding our prayer outreach to be relevant for today's needs.

Prayer Chain
We have two teams of prayer intercessors who pray once the chain in activated. Both teams have a prayer co-ordinator; one starting the day chain and one the evening chain although both advise each other of prayer requests for continuity. If the prayer request is genuine, for yourself or for somebody else you can be certain that your prayer need will be covered. You can ask for something specific or just simply ask for a prayer. It is our privilage to be used by God to help others in this service.

Prayer Ministry
At each of our services we are blessed to have a committed team of people who will pray, under authority of the Minister, for your personal needs. The team are trained and supervised having all signed up to a set of guidlines following the basic principles of good practice for prayer ministry teams.

The team is dedicated to serve God in their calling of ministry to all people attending the church who have need of prayer support.

The team meet before each service to pray, as the Holy Spirit directs, for our service, our parish, and our Country. We also meet once a month on the last Thursday of each month to pray together or to receive support and direction. This is not a closed group and anyone with a real desire for prayer is always welcome.

Healing Ministry
At this time we do not have a specific Healing Ministry, although we will of course pray for healing within our Ministry Team, however the church leaders hope this will be added to our Prayer Ministry before not too long.
