URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
Our main church hall can once more be used.
The reports on the structure revealed that the areas of damage
can be repaired without major works having to be done.
We praise God for the work that Mr. Stephen
Earl has undertaken in the church to help resolve the problems
we have encountered and God for the money that has been given
towards the cost of the repairs. For details of the services please
see the notices page.
ALTAR CURTAINS
On Sunday 5th January 2003, new altar
curtains were dedicated in memory of Mr. John Sewell, who died
in May 2002. John served the Lord as a member of St. Barnabas
church for over 50 years. He will be best remembered for his ministry
in music and his lovely voice will be greatly missed. His wife
Hilda and son David gave a donation to the church in his memory
and new curtains were purchased and a plaque to mark the event
has been placed on the altar rail. The new curtains match the
chancel carpet and enhance the appearance of the chancel. The
chancel will be re-painted in January as part of the ongoing improvements
we are making in that area of the church.
