When the extension was opened, in 1989, one area of it was designated as the Library. The library is open after church services on Sundays. Books, video tapes or audio cassettes can be borrowed for three weeks. (This period can be extended if the items are brought back to be re-stamped)

The library is kept up to date and regularly stocked with books by new and well known authors and the latest best-selling Christian books. There are a wide variety of subjects to choose from: - e.g. Biography, Theology, Worship, Children, Relationships. There are also many books available for children and teenagers to borrow.

A few reading suggestions for Lent 2003

MAX LUCADO - JUST LIKE JESUS
God loves us the way we are, but he refuses to leave us this way. He wants us to be just like Jesus. A wonderful book, offering lots of encouragement and pointers in looking at our lives and how we can change.

DELIA SMITH - A JOURNEY INTO GOD
A journey into God is a profound reflection on a subject of deep personal significance to Delia Smith - prayer. Written with the same spirit of simplicity and good sense which has characterised her approach to cookery.

GERARD W. HUGHES - GOD OF SURPRISES
I found this a truly great book, it is gentle, wise and down to earth, yet guides you through a spiritual journey. The author has a marvellous understanding of the vagaries of the human spirit and the rare gift of helping us to understand ourselves.

PHILIP YANCEY - SOUL SURVIVOR
Philip Yancey is one of the most popular and acclaimed religious writers of our day. This book tells his story, and the stories of thirteen people whose remarkable lives have shaped his spiritual journey, from John Donne to Martin Luther King Jnr, and Dostoevsky to Mahatma Gandhi.

Here are a selection of books available:
