• Follow A6 towards Stockport
• Pass Stockport Grammar School on the Left and Right
• Pass a Beefeater/Travel Inn (The Bamford Arms) on the right
• Pass the Blossoms pub on the left at a set of traffic lights
• Continue down the road and turn right at the next set of lights (Longshut Lane A626)
• (If you see Stockport College on your left you have gone too far)
• Continue through the next set of lights (Onto A626 Hempshaw Lane)
• Continue through the next set of lights onto St Marys Way (A626)
• Pass several car dealerships on both sides of the road
• Continue through next set of lights and head down the hill
• At the bottom of the hill, turn right at the set of lights onto New Bridge Lane
• Continue past the Midway public house on your left
• Continue through the next set of lights onto B6104 Stockport Road
• Continue past British Gas on the left and over the bridge
• Head up the hill and turn right onto Osborne Street just after a pelican crossing

By Road from North (Manchester)

• Follow A6 Towards Stockport
• Pass McVities on the right
• Turn Left at the set of lights outside the Chapel House Pub (A626 Manchester Road)
• Continue down this road through 2 sets of Traffic Lights
• At the Roundabout take the 2nd Exit (A626 Tiviot Way)
• At the Roundabout at the bottom of this hill take the 2nd Exit (B6104 Carrington Road)
• Continue through the set of traffic lights and turn left at the next set (Stockport Road)
• Continue past British Gas on the left and over the bridge
• Head up the hill and turn right onto Osborne Street just after a pelican crossing

Bredbury Railway Station is a 20 minutes walk, there is a bus stop outside that will take you down Stockport Road towards Lower Bredbury. Service number is 330 towards Stockport. Ask the driver for "Bredbury Bar".

Parking at St Barnabas

St Barnabas has a private off road car park at the front of the church, there is also on road parking around St Barnabas on Osborne Street, you shouldnt have too much trouble parking but please respect the local residents and refrain from parking accross their driveways.

Local Ammenities

There are several facilities local to St Barnabas for after baptism/wedding functions. St Barnabas is situated next to Bredbury Hall Hotel and Country Club, which can cater for functions of different sizes. The Midway Tavern on Newbridge Lane also has a function room and can provide buffets.

Vernon Park is situated close by and has recently been landscaped with over £1M of Lottery funds, it is a popular location for wedding photographs.

There are a number of local shops near to St Barnabas for any last minute items you may have forgotten.
